Throughout their lives at St Joseph’s, we teach the children they are part of a bigger community, whether it is our school family, parish family, members of our country, part of a global Catholic community or citizens of the whole world.
We look, where appropriate, to take in local, national and global fundraising projects and charity work so that we can develop our understanding of how we can make a difference to people’s lives. Children and staff choose our charities on a yearly basis and we are always very grateful for the generous donations that we receive.
As a school we choose to work with CAFOD and support their work. We raise funds for them and invite their representatives in to special assemblies to explain the work that they do. The children then are able to better understand how the money they raise is spent and helps to improves people’s lives.
The school community, parents and parish have responded incredibly generously in previous years. We are always very grateful for their support.
